Job summary

Lane Community College is seeking a Part‑Time, Temporary Maintenance Helper at the Main Campus to perform routine maintenance and general labor duties. The role includes moving furniture and equipment, assisting skilled trades personnel, and supporting upkeep and functionality of facilities.

The position is hourly, with hours 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday. A minimum of six months of maintenance experience and the ability to operate hand and power tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in general maintenance duties.
• Ability to operate hand and power equipment.
• Willingness to work in a public environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and general labor duties under supervision.
• Move furniture and equipment and support skilled trades personnel.
• Perform basic janitorial tasks and event setup.
• Provide mail services back up when needed.
• Follow safety and confidentiality requirements (FERPA) where applicable.
