Job summary

Aramark is seeking a General Manager, Facilities to provide strategic leadership for custodial, grounds, and maintenance functions across a college campus. The role ensures a safe, clean, and well‑maintained environment that supports academics, student life, and events.

You will lead a diverse team and drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strong customer service. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in facilities management, 3+ years of leadership across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive facilities management experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing multiple operational departments and teams.
• Experience managing custodial, maintenance, and grounds operations.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, building systems, and operational best practices; experience with budgets and financial performance.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with CMMS, work order management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee custodial, grounds, and facility maintenance operations campus-wide.
• Develop operational plans aligned with client expectations and institutional goals.
• Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Establish performance standards and monitor metrics.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Balance staffing, scheduling, and productivity to meet operational requirements.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor services.
• Partner with campus leadership on facility improvements and capital projects.
