Job summary

Coastal Alabama Community College is seeking a Maintenance Generalist to assist with upkeep of buildings, furnishings, equipment, and grounds across campuses. This role supports routine maintenance, lighting, vehicle upkeep, and event setup.

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or GED.
One year of related maintenance experience.
Valid driver’s license required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle, tractor, and standard office equipment.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet schedules.

Responsibilities

Assist with upkeep and maintenance of all buildings, furnishings, equipment, and grounds.
Perform routine maintenance including light bulb changes, ceiling tile work, and HVAC filter care.
Maintain proper lighting inside and outside buildings.
Assist in scheduling, maintaining, and fueling college vehicles as needed.
Assist in campus grounds maintenance and event setup.
Transport materials and equipment between buildings and campuses.
Ensure safety and address hazardous situations promptly.
