Job summary

SUN VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH is seeking a part-time Operations team member to perform custodial duties across church campus facilities. The role includes setting up chairs, tables, and classrooms for meetings and events, and collaborating with campus teams to share best practices.

The position is approximately 20 hours per week, requiring reliable, team-oriented individuals who can maintain clean and safe environments in alignment with SVCC values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Teamwork orientation and good interaction with staff and volunteers.
• Good time management and reliability.
• Must align with SVCC mission and doctrinal statements.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial/cleaning duties including floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and windows.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors using appropriate equipment.
• Use ladders to dust and wash walls, clean ceilings, and light fixtures.
• Wash windows up to 8 feet high.
• Move furniture and equipment to clean or setup areas as needed.
• Set up chairs, tables, and classrooms according to event diagrams.
• Remove stains using cleaning solutions as required.
• Sweep and perform incidental seasonal tasks as requested.
• Ensure the security of rooms, buildings and the campus.
• May drive company vehicle to obtain supplies or travel to other campus locations.
• May direct work of other team members during shifts.
