Cal Poly Humboldt is seeking a Custodian to join Facilities Management in California. Under supervision, custodians perform cleaning and support across campus facilities, ensuring safety and teamwork.

The role offers full-time, benefited employment with a strong benefits package and a one-year probationary period. Responsibilities include routine cleaning, special assignments, semi-annual deep cleans, event support, and safe handling of equipment, with emphasis on collaboration and maintenance

Formación

• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties and follow verbal and written instructions to ensure safety.
• Ability and knowledge to operate and care for custodial equipment and supplies properly.
• Ability to perform work involving regular physical activity including moving up to 50 pounds;
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide routine general cleaning services to campus indoor facilities.
• Duties include cleaning floors, walls and ceilings; scrub, mop; sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, kitchens and laundry rooms.
• Provide team support and special assignment work; work with custodial student assistants and supervisors.
• Perform semi-annual custodial work including deep cleaning, stripping/waxing floors, carpet care, and window cleaning.
• Provide event support and assist in setup for campus events.
• Furniture moving and setup as needed for events.
• Engage in safety practices and ensure equipment and supplies are in safe condition.
