Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) seeks an Associate Vice President of Beach Building Services to provide strategic vision, leadership, and oversight for planning, construction, maintenance, safety, and services of campus facilities. The role leads a large organization with a substantial budget and workforce.

The position advises senior leadership, engages with CSU/state agencies, ensures compliance, and promotes safe, sustainable operations campus-wide.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of leadership experience in construction and facilities management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in executive-level university or large organization leadership (MPA/MBA preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and safety for the University’s facilities; set long-range goals.
• Represent the campus with CSU/state agencies; oversee $45M operating budget and capital program.
• Align spending with the University's financial planning process.
• Oversee the Campus Environmental Health and Safety Program annually.
