Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) seeks an Associate Vice President of Beach Building Services to provide strategic vision, executive leadership, and operational oversight for planning, construction, maintenance, safety, and service delivery of the campus facilities and environment.

The role leads a complex organization with a significant operating budget, major capital programs, and a large workforce.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of leadership experience in construction and facilities management.
• Executive-level experience in a comprehensive university or other large and complex organization.
• CA driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning in Physical Planning, Design and Construction Management, Environmental Health and Safety, and Facilities Management.
• Oversee an operating budget of approximately $45 million and a capital program from $150 million to $500 million.
• Advise senior leadership and represent the University with state agencies and external stakeholders.

Education

MPA, MBA, Master's in Architecture, Engineering or other related graduate degree
