Job summary

The Budd Group is seeking an Event Technician to support campus events with hands-on setup, breakdown, cleaning, and safety checks. You will move furniture, arrange seating, and ensure spaces are ready for gatherings, meetings, and ceremonies.

Ideal candidates enjoy fast-paced teamwork, have physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, and can work evenings and weekends. A valid driver’s license is preferred and you will help maintain clean, safe environments for students, faculty, and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in moving services, janitorial work, events, or facilities preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and special events.

Responsibilities

• Event Setup & Breakdown: Set up and break down tables, chairs, staging, and event equipment.
• Moving & Relocation Support: Safely move furniture, equipment, and supplies across campus; reconfigure offices as needed.
• Cleaning & Facility Care: Complete post-event cleanup and facility restoration and support peak needs.
• Equipment & Safety: Operate dollies, hand trucks, vacuums, and report issues; follow safety guidelines.
• Customer Service & Teamwork: Communicate professionally with staff, students, and guests; respond to work orders.
