Job summary

Lenoir-Rhyne University is seeking a leader to manage event management and technical support for all Conferences and Events activities on campus. You will oversee technical staff and student workers, ensuring smooth productions in LR’s performing arts venues and adherence to safety policies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and knowledge of sound production and theater operations. You will act as a liaison across LR departments and coordinate with external partners for events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• Experience in sound and production management preferred.
• Knowledge of theater production and performing arts venues beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Director of technical services for LR performing arts venues (PE Monroe, BelkCentrum, Grace Chapel).
• Primary contact for LR offices and units using C&E venues for production management.
• Implement and monitor safety, ADA, copyright and safety guidelines.
• Hire, train, supervise production student employees; maintain work-study databases.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of sound, lighting, rigging and stage equipment.
• Provide event reports; coordinate invoicing and management of external contractors.
