Job summary

The JCC East Bay in Oakland, CA seeks an Event Services Manager to lead planning, execution and client relations for campus events. You will coordinate internal teams, partner organizations, vendors, and rental clients, ensuring a seamless guest experience from inquiry to close.

This full-time role requires 5+ years in event management, strong organizational and communication skills, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in event management, hospitality, facilities coordination, or related field.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, contractors, or volunteers, including scheduling, training, and on-site leadership.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with event management software and scheduling tools.
• Experience working within a Jewish Community Center or similar mission-driven nonprofit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all event inquiries, including programs, on-site partners, and private rentals.
• Produce and manage events from inquiry through completion, guaranteeing a high-quality experience.
• Generate new sales leads through creative marketing and networking.
• Provide tours for prospective and current clients, and create diagrams based on setup requirements.
• Oversee the contract process from beginning to end, including deposits and signature collection.
• Meet with clients to plan events, explain policies, and finalize event details at multiple milestones.
• Coordinate with setups, A/V, maintenance, and licensing to meet client needs.
• Oversee events across campus spaces including the Pavilion and Teen Center.
