Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Facility Entry Screener in Pittsburgh, PA to help protect students, staff, and visitors while enforcing access procedures on a higher education campus. You will greet individuals, screen entries, respond to incidents, conduct patrols, and document observations to support campus safety and a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 or older.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Greet students, staff, and visitors and enforce access procedures on campus.
• Screen and process individuals entering buildings using access control and visitor management.
• Respond to incidents calmly and contact appropriate campus resources or emergency services.
• Conduct security patrols and presence checks at entry points and nearby areas.
• Complete logs and reports and communicate observations to site leadership.
