Job summary

Palm Beach Atlantic University is seeking an Intermediate Systems Engineer to administer and improve the university's enterprise infrastructure and critical technology services. You will act as the primary technical owner for assigned systems, coordinate with campus departments, and support on-call needs across ITS.

The role emphasizes reliability, security, documentation, and service continuity, with collaboration across DPS and other ITS teams to ensure operational readiness and policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in related field preferred.
• Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, Azure, networking, cybersecurity or cloud technologies are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers enterprise infrastructure components to ensure reliability, security and high availability.
• Acts as technical service owner for assigned technology services and coordinates with ITS teams.
• Maintains documentation, monitoring, and change management for infrastructure services.
• Develops automation scripts to improve efficiency and service reliability.
