Job summary

Colorado Technical University (CTU) is seeking adjunct faculty for a campus-based position in Colorado Springs. Instructors will deliver quality instruction, align courses with CTU curricula, and engage with diverse students to support their success.

The role requires a Master’s level or higher in English or related field, with professional experience. Compensation is per credit hour, with flexible schedules and opportunities for tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in English, Writing, or subfield; or out of field graduate degree with 18+ graduate semester hours in field/subfield; or out of field graduate degree with 3+ years' documented professional experience in field/subfield.
• Doctorate preferred: 3+ years’ documented experience teaching adult, non-traditional, and Active Duty Military/Veteran student learners in higher education.
• CTU adjunct faculty onboarding includes new faculty certification and annual policy trainings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engaging instructional materials and align with CTU curricula and outcomes.
• Instruct assigned courses including labs or work integral to the courses.
• Engage with students to encourage participation and maintain professionalism.
• Provide weekly office hours and timely responsiveness to students and staff.
• Collaborate with Program Chair and Lead Faculty on course execution and assessment.
