Job summary

The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Assistant Vice President for Engineering, Construction, and Planning in Facilities Management. The role oversees strategic planning, development, and execution of campus construction, maintenance, and engineering initiatives with program management and contract oversight responsibilities.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of related experience and 7+ years in leadership; Texas PE/Architect

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with ten years of related experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience; 15 years in engineering/construction fields with 7 in leadership.
• Texas professional certification/registration as PE or Architect or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in planning, design, construction and renovation of buildings and infrastructure.
• Oversee budgets, timelines and quality control for capital projects.
• Coordinate with UT System OCP and external program managers on major projects.
• Manage facilities planning, space utilization and deferred maintenance programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls across projects.
