Job summary

San José State University seeks an Associate Director - Central Plant & Energy Services to lead Central Plant operations and the university’s energy services, ensuring safe, reliable, energy-efficient delivery across a multi-site campus.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent supervisory experience in central plant management.
Five years of project management or supervisory experience in a multi-facility utilities setting.
Experience with facilities/utility maintenance management software and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day Central Plant operations and maintenance for cogeneration, chillers, boilers, and related systems.
Manage budgets, forecasts, procurement, and contracts for utility services.
Lead and develop multidisciplinary staff through recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
