Qualifications

• Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and applicable laws, construction standards, mechanical concepts, and electrical systems and circuitry.
• Skill in troubleshooting electrical equipment and diagnosing problems in circuitry.
• Skill in use of trade equipment, tools, and calculations, including voltage, resistance, amperage, wattage, etc.
• Willing to work after-hours on-call duty on a rotating basis with Round Rock shop personnel

Responsibilities

• Perform journey-level electrical work including installation, maintenance, and repair of campus electrical systems and equipment.
• Work on electrical tasks such as lighting, PMs, and routine installations on campus and events.
• Assist with special event setups and furniture moves.
• Identify irrigation problems and report to supervisor.
• Perform PMs and light repairs at facilities areas and participate in on-call rotation.
• Install conduit, boxes, fittings, and pull wire for circuits.
