Job summary

St. Edward's University is seeking a journeyman electrician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across campus buildings. You will troubleshoot faults, read blueprints, and work with low to high‑voltage systems to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires a valid Texas Journeyman license, strong adherence to NEC and safety regulations, and the ability to work on call when needed. A driver’s license and background check are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Texas Journeyman license required by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
• Must be able to read and follow NFPA/ICC codes and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders for university departments and work on ladders, rooftops, or scaffolding.
• Identify and replace lamps, ballasts, switches, fixtures, and panels as needed.
• Run conduit, pull wire, install and repair electrical systems campus‑wide.
