Job summary

Sodexo at CLAFLIN UNIVERSITY is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to support kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout food production and service areas. You will clean equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces, transport supplies, and help with setup and breakdown tasks as directed.

The role requires basic sanitation knowledge and a High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash to designated areas and restocks supplies.
• Cleans equipment with approved chemicals to ensure sanitation.
• Walks and stands for long periods and lifts up to 50 pounds occasionally.
