Job summary

Dickinson College Dining Services is seeking a part-time Serving Area and Dish Utility Worker in Carlisle. You will interact with students, maintain hygienic serving areas, and operate the dishwashing equipment to ensure smooth dining operations. Role requires flexibility for days, nights, and weekends up to 29 hours weekly.

A High School Diploma or GED is required; ServSafe certification is preferred or obtainable within a year. Physical ability to lift 30 pounds is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; hospitality experience may substitute.
• ServSafe certification preferred or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand/bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, sanitary serving area and dish room according to HACCP guidelines.
• Operate the dish machine and related equipment per department guidelines.
• Be willing to work occasional holiday dinners and seasonal events.
• Emergency response personnel: report to work during delays or closures as needed.
