Job summary

Dickinson College Dining Services is seeking a part-time Serving Area and Dish Utility Worker in Carlisle. You will interact with students, maintain hygienic serving areas, and operate the dishwashing equipment to ensure smooth dining operations. Role requires flexibility for days, nights, and weekends up to 29 hours weekly.

A High School Diploma or GED is required; ServSafe certification is preferred or obtainable within a year. Physical ability to lift 30 pounds is needed.

They must maintain neat and sanitary work areas at all times, up to but not limited to all areas of the floor and dish room. They must operate the dish machine and all related equipment according to the guidelines established by the department. **Essential Functions:*** Maintains a neat and sanitary work area at all times, by following all guidelines set by dining services HACCP program.* Maintains and cleans the serving area and all related areas and equipment.* Is required to be trained in all areas of the Floor and Dishroom.* Maintains a safe work area and adheres to all college policies regarding safe work environments.* This position is designated as “emergency response personnel”. “Emergency response personnel” are required to report to work when the college is delayed or closed. They may also be called in at any time of the day to respond to weather and/or other types of emergencies as needed. **Other Functions:*** Must be willing to work occasional holiday dinners and seasonal picnics throughout the academic year.
