Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Director of Dining Services for the Student Dining Halls at the University of WI - Whitewater. You will lead day-to-day operations, oversee staff, and ensure financial success while upholding contract guidelines, health regulations, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of operational food service management experience.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
• Strong leadership abilities with proven experience supervising and developing staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
• Outstanding customer service skills with commitment to quality.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Experience with computers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold service and food quality.
• Maintain client and customer happiness by ensuring food quality and service standards.
• Prepare and complete daily, weekly, and financial reports, including food and labor costs.
• Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards to protect health and safety.
• Foster strong client relationships to align programs with objectives and drive retention.
• Perform other duties to support efficient dining service operations.
