Chartwells Higher Education, part of Compass Group USA, seeks a Retail Manager to lead on-campus dining operations under the Director of Dining Services. You will supervise staff, manage functions, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to corporate policies.

Ideal candidates have a background in food service management, strong communication, and the ability to train staff in service, safety, and cash handling. This is a full-time role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in food services or related field or equivalent experience.
• Retail foodservice management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Cash handling and payroll oversight experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises special functions, maintains cash controls, payroll records, and oversees the hiring and training of hourly team members.
• Ensures customer satisfaction and good public relations through safe and efficient use of resources.
• Directs staff to provide scheduled retail services in accordance with corporate policies and presentation standards.
• Trains staff in customer service, proper portioning, cashier skills, and safety/sanitation.
• Completes all reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures on time.
• Communicates effectively with all team members, patients and families.
• Implements cash handling standards to prevent theft of services or company funds.
