The University of Minnesota Morris is seeking a part-time dining services worker to ensure quality food production, cleanliness and customer service for a diverse campus community.

You will work 30 hours per week, in person at Morris campus, under Sodexo management and Teamsters Local 320 representation, with a focus on safe food handling and excellent service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Formación

• Must be able to read, write and interpret the English language
• Must have at least six months experience in a large food operation or quantity food production
• Must be able to perform simple math calculations
• Must be able to move up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
• Must be able to stand for up to four hours at a time

Responsabilidades

• Processes hot and cold foods using some mechanical equipment (i.e., toasters, steam-jacketed kettles, etc.)
• Takes food and/or supply items to the storage areas and properly stores them following set procedures
• May assist cook or senior food service worker in vegetable or fruit preparation
• May do front line finish product cooking such as pizza station, grill station, or exhibition cooking
• Works collaboratively and effectively with coworkers and other staff from a variety of US and international cultures
• Meets campus food preparation and presentation standards when helping with dining service
• Provides high quality customer service for students, faculty, staff and visitors from a variety of diverse backgrounds and experiences
