Job summary

Duke University Dining seeks a Retail Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across campus retail locations, drive operational excellence, and partner with university stakeholders, service providers, and vendors to ensure safe, welcoming, and high-quality dining experiences for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

You will lead multi-unit teams, monitor performance, implement improvements, ensure food safety and regulatory compliance, coordinate facilities and asset management, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, food service management, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of multi-unit restaurant management experience.
• Preferred: HACCP knowledge and ServSafe Manager certification.
• Ability to learn and support emerging technologies and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Retail Operations Excellence across Duke Dining's retail locations.
• Champion food safety, sanitation, regulatory compliance, and QA programs.
• Coordinate facilities, equipment, and asset management activities.
• Drive projects, events, and campus initiatives within the dining program.
• Contribute to departmental priorities and cross-functional collaboration.
