Genuine Foods in Chicopee, MA is seeking a Site Lead to execute daily menus to recipe specifications and run a school-site operation to company standards. You will lead cooks and prep staff, handle daily prep, and ensure engaging meals while delivering excellent customer service to students and educators.

The role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on teamwork, accuracy and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of food or customer service supervisor experience in a high-volume facility.
• Creative problem-solver with passion, enthusiasm and fresh ideas.
• Organized, dependable and self-motivated.
• Team builder capable of developing a team.
• Able to manage up and down independently.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Committed to Genuine Foods’ mission to help students’ minds, bodies and happiness.
• Must be able to work in a college/university setting.

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily preparation and service for breakfast, snack, and/or lunch.
• Executes meals in accordance with the daily menu and recipe standards.
• Ensures on-time service according to the school schedule for the location.
• Manages food service associates as direct reports and ensures procedures are followed.
• Completes accurate production records documenting meals and components.
• Accounts for the school’s financial performance via inventory and waste management.
• Receives deliveries and verifies quality and accuracy before signing for them.
• Maintains food safety practices including rotation, waste and inventory management.
• Takes daily physical inventory and places orders accordingly.
• Maintains health department standards for a food-safe environment and reports issues.
• Greets students, teachers and parents warmly and encourages trying new foods.
• Reports to field manager and culinary/operations directors; performs other duties as assigned.
