Princeton University is hiring a Foodservice Worker for Rocky Mathey College Dining Hall. The role covers cold food preparation, front-of-house service, and ware-washing while maintaining cleanliness and safety in all kitchen stations.

The position offers a 40-hour per week schedule aligned with the academic calendar and includes full University benefits. Candidates should be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or at least one (1) year of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with a diverse population.
• Must have strong multi-tasking skills and be able to work in a fast-paced diverse environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, extended and evening hours, and required work outside of the assigned unit. Must be able to meet the needs of an essential personnel position.
• Must comply with Campus Dining protocols and procedures, including safety and uniform standards.
• Must have knowledge of food preparation and ability to coordinate tasks to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cold food items for the menu in accordance with recipes and portion sizes; maintains dishroom, kitchen equipment, and servery in a clean and safe condition.
• Assists in cleaning and maintenance duties; reports safety hazards; records temperatures per HACCP.
• Performs card checks for Campus Dining patrons as needed; enforces FIFO in storage areas.
• Supports sustainability initiatives and assists with special functions; participates in training.
• Represents Campus Dining positively to patrons; adheres to Dining policies and Princeton University procedures.
