Job summary

Michigan State University is hiring a Holden Culinary Platform Attendant to join our Residential Dining team in East Lansing. You will prepare, organize, and supply items across salad bars, hot/cold stations, and to-order service areas while upholding food safety and quality standards.

You will work with a diverse team, assist cooks with assembling meals, monitor portion sizes, and provide friendly service to students, staff, and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of full-time food prep experience.
• Ability to read weights and measures and measure ingredients.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety practices.
• Ability to lift 26–75 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Station prep, setup, and organization across salad bars and stations.
• Assist cooks by measuring ingredients and assembling meals.
• Follow food safety, rotation, and storage practices to minimize waste.
• Serve meals to students, staff, and guests with courtesy.
• Collaborate with a diverse dining team to maintain operations.
