Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook at Keiser University Flagship Campus to prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold foods for all meals and events. You will follow Sodexo’s culinary standards, maintain a clean station, and support safe food handling in a fast-paced kitchen.

You’ll work with others to deliver high-quality dishes, adhere to safety guidelines, and participate in kitchen teamwork. This full-time role offers benefits and growth opportunities while serving a college community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided.
• Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments.
• Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
