Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and effectively communicate in English.
• Must be able to work in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Willingness to complete ServSafe Manager and allergy training within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Positively represent Roanoke College to guests and team members.
• Apply and enforce safety and sanitation standards as instructed by Dining Services.
• Prepare hot foods and cold foods, including salads, stocks, and sauces.
• Read standardized recipes and batch-produce to serve anticipated volumes.
• Label, rotate, and store prepared foods and bulk inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and equipment.
