Job summary

Silver Bay YMCA Conference and Family Retreat Center is seeking a Food Service Staff member to support dining services across back-of-house and guest-facing areas. You will assist with dish room duties, dining room service, food prep, catering deliveries, and maintaining buffet and beverage stations.

Responsibilities include adhering to food safety procedures, delivering friendly guest service, and supporting retail food service.

Qualifications

• This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and food safety procedures.
• Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Responsibilities

• Support Dining Services in back-of-house and front-of-house operations.
• Dish Room: clean dishes and kitchen areas.
• Greet guests, clear tables, maintain dining room setups.
• Prepare salad, fruit bars, and other prep as assigned.
• Assist catering, deliver and serve food at campus venues.
• Maintain buffet lines and beverage set-ups.
• Support retail food service and short-order items.
• Adhere to proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Provide friendly guest service.
• May work weekends, evenings, holidays as needed.
