Job summary

Nugget Express at CSULB Beach Shops seeks a Dining Associate I to deliver superior guest service, greet customers, take orders, collect payment, and prepare food and beverages. This role helps safeguard assets and maintains a clean dining environment.

You must be a current CSULB student (min 6 units) with a CA Food Handler Card or able to obtain within 30 days, and have RBS or obtain within 30 days. Union position with varied shifts and campus hours.

Qualifications

• CSULB student enrollment in at least 6 units required.
• California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, collect payment, and make change.
• Prepare and assemble food and beverage items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
• Adhere to health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
• Stock and merchandise retail items and assist with table/bus activity as required.
• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the operation as needed.
