University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department is seeking a full-time Desktop Support Technician to provide expert user support for desktops, peripherals, and software in Coral Gables, FL. You will handle ticketing, AV support for lectures, and hybrid teaching tools while adhering to security policies and service standards.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification preferred but not required.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic software/hardware troubleshooting.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

Serve as first point of contact for desktop and network issues.
Provide quality customer service to all clients in a timely and professional manner.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, peripherals, and software.
Support video conferencing and AV requirements for lectures and events.
Log, track, and close service tickets in ServiceNow.
Assist with classroom technology and hybrid teaching tools.
Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
