Job summary

University of Vermont is seeking a Decarbonization Manager to advance campus energy benchmarking, incentive tracking, and the annual greenhouse gas inventory. You will help develop decarbonization strategies across energy efficiency, renewables, and conservation, and prepare reports and visuals for internal and public audiences.

The role collaborates with the Physical Plant Department and Planning, Design & Construction to integrate decarbonization into projects of all scales, including managing

Qualifications

• Experience in energy management, renewables, and energy program implementation.
• Experience tracking greenhouse gas inventories and energy policy interpretation.
• Ability to lead projects with cross‑department collaboration and provide reports.
• Strong communication skills for presentations, reports, and data visuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead building energy benchmarking, utility rebate tracking, and GHG inventory activities.
• Develop decarbonization strategies related to energy efficiency, conservation, and renewables.
• Create reports, presentations, and data visualizations for internal and public audiences.
• Collaborate with Physical Plant and other partners to identify decarbonization opportunities.
