Job summary

The University of Iowa Parking & Transportation Department is seeking a Customer Service Representative on the Iowa City campus. This role provides world-class customer service over the counter and by phone, processes permit data, and helps train and supervise student staff to maintain high standards across all services.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, on campus at West Campus Transportation Center.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience (typically 6 months) in administrative or customer service support role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
Demonstrated customer service and cash handling experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Demonstrated experience multitasking in fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to every customer over the counter and on the phone.
Ensure data entry in AIMS is accurate and timely as it relates to permit types and sales/distribution dates.
Assist in the ongoing enhancements of our Customer Service Representative training program for staff and students.
Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling student staff.
Assist in coordination / preparation of strategic plans supporting the department’s mission.
