Job summary

University of Richmond is seeking a temporary, on-call custodian to support cleaning coverage across campus. The role is part-time, non-exempt, with shifts starting early morning and flexible hours, and may not exceed 1,000 hours per year.

You will perform routine cleaning, handle trash, assist with snow removal, and report maintenance needs. A high school diploma is required; one year custodial experience preferred; a valid driver's license and clean driving record are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School degree or educational equivalent.
• One year or more experience in custodial operations or related field preferred
• Preferred for the employee to have a Driver's License and be able to produce a driving record with a minimum of 3 years of driving history in good standing

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning tasks in assigned area in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Collects and removes trash and recycled materials from buildings
• Fills out work orders for items needing maintenance
• Utilizes and takes care of the equipment and supplies provided to them by the University
• Works with safety of self and others in mind as their number one priority
• Assists with snow removal as required
