University of Richmond is seeking a temporary, on-call custodian to support cleaning coverage across campus. The role is part-time, non-exempt, with shifts starting early morning and flexible hours, and may not exceed 1,000 hours per year.
You will perform routine cleaning, handle trash, assist with snow removal, and report maintenance needs. A high school diploma is required; one year custodial experience preferred; a valid driver's license and clean driving record are preferred.
This is a temporary position to be called in as needed on various shifts to assist with custodial coverage. This temporary position performs routine cleaning tasks to assigned buildings on campus.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and evenings.
Requires the employee to work both inside and outside in cold, wet, and dry conditions.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, walk up stairs, and push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.

This position works as needed, but will not work more than 1,000 hours per year
All Facilities employees are designated as essential personnel and are subject to work outside the normal work schedule on an emergency basis and are also subject to planned overtime work as required by the immediate supervisor.
Pay Grade 1 (Hiring Rate: $15.00 per hour)
