Job summary

Waubonsee Community College is seeking a part-time Custodian/AM at the Sugar Grove Campus. The role requires cleaning and maintaining interiors, reporting to the Shift Lead Custodian and Facilities Director. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 25-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year custodial experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
• Effective communication skills helpful.
• Ability to work well independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain cleanliness of facilities to present a strong campus image.
• Inspect and monitor assigned buildings, restock restrooms, and handle minor emergencies for safety and cleanliness.
• Clean interior glass surfaces at least twice a month or as required.
• Assist in furniture moving or set-ups as directed.
• Monitor custodial supply inventory and request additional stock as needed; report maintenance issues.
• Perform snow removal as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
