Job summary

Bucknell University is seeking a motivated Custodian to join its Facilities team on campus. You will contribute to a welcoming environment by performing cleaning, maintenance support, and event setup duties.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma and physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving supplies. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, with essential services duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior custodial/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning tasks in classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Collects and disposes of trash and recycling per policies; handles hazardous materials as encountered.
• Maintains flooring and performs floor care such as buffing or waxing as needed.
• Assists with minor maintenance tasks and campus events setup/breakdown.
• Monitors supplies, reports shortages, and follows safety procedures.
• Works with custodial staff to coordinate schedules.
• Non-Essential Duties: additional tasks may be assigned.
