Job summary

Bucknell University is seeking a dependable Custodian to join our Facilities team on campus in Lewisburg, PA. You will perform routine cleaning tasks, handle waste, maintain floors, and assist with light maintenance to support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff and guests.

Qualifications

• Routine cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces.
• Assist with minor maintenance like changing bulbs and reporting issues.
• Groundskeeping duties including mulching and litter removal.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report shortages.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning in classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways and common areas.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables per university policies.
• Maintain flooring surfaces including carpets and tiles; perform floor maintenance as needed.
• Assist during campus moves and event setup/breakdown.
• Inspect and report facility issues to supervisor for timely resolution.
• Follow proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment; ensure safety.
