Job summary

St. Joseph Church, Bryan seeks a full-time Custodian to maintain a clean, safe school environment aligned with Catholic education values. You will support the principal, faculty, and staff by ensuring classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas are well cared for and ready for daily activities.

The role requires ability to work independently, with a willingness to perform evening or weekend duties as needed, and to follow school and Diocesan policies. An EIM commitment is required shortly after hire.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Ability to work independently.

• Skill in critical thinking and planning.
• Must submit an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application within the first week and complete EIM training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a neat, clean, safe, and organized environment for the school.
• Cleans classrooms, work rooms, kitchens, hallways, and carpeted areas daily.
• Cleans and disinfects bathrooms daily and replenishes supplies.
• Removes trash from classrooms, offices, and eating areas daily.
• Assists with setup and cleanup for meetings and special events.
• Communicates maintenance and repair issues to the principal.
