Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Kansas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds constantly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to work on ladders.
• Physical strength to stand long hours performing custodial tasks.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and outdoors.
• Willingness to overtime or schedule changes as needed.
• Willingness to respond to after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains common areas, offices, classrooms, student dormitory rooms, fitness areas, gym spaces, and other assigned areas.
• Vacuums, spot cleans, bonnets, and extracts carpeted floors and upholstery.
• Cleans and maintains hard-surface floors with established procedures and equipment.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and surfaces; helps with furniture moves and room setups.
• Cleans walls, windows, doors, blinds, fountains, and other surfaces.
• Empties waste receptacles and disposes of nonhazardous waste.
• Cleans and sanitizes exercise equipment and mats; assists with training class setups.
• Performs periodic deep cleaning and follows safety procedures.
