Job summary

Valencia College is seeking three Custodians to maintain a safe and clean environment across our East Campus facilities. The role involves operating cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, and following detailed instructions to support students, faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow directions; communicate effectively.
• Experience in a similar duties position.
• Knowledge of cleaning fluids, chemicals, cleaning tools, and equipment such as scrubbing and waxing machines.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors with appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Clean rest rooms, replenish supplies and maintain sanitation.
• Empty wastebaskets and trash receptacles; manage debris.
• Clean chalkboards, windows, walls, and light fixtures; restock supplies.
• Assist in relocating furniture and other duties as assigned.
