Job summary

The Camas School District is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain school buildings and surrounding areas in a safe, attractive, and clean condition for students and staff.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom sanitation, minor repairs, window cleaning, event setup, and securing the building. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and custodial experience, with a valid driver's license and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of custodial experience preferred in a school environment.
• Experience operating custodial equipment (vacuums, polishers, auto-scrubbers).
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, clean and vacuum floors in classrooms, offices and halls.
• Thoroughly clean and disinfect lavatories daily and maintain dispensers.
• Perform minor maintenance such as changing bulbs and small repairs.
• Clean windows and disinfect cafeteria and kitchen daily.
• Move furniture and set up equipment for events.
• Ensure building security; lock doors and power down lights as required.
• Assist with cleaning during illnesses or emergencies.
• Maintain supplies and coordinate orders with operations.
