Job summary

Georgia State University in Atlanta is seeking a Custodian II to join the Building Services Department. You will maintain cleanliness across campus spaces, perform room set-ups, and support Custodian I as needed, following established routines.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, basic custodial knowledge, and the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with competitive pay and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience in an institutional, industrial, or commercial setting
• Must be able to lift approximately 30-50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and restrooms; handles trash and restocks supplies.
• Performs room set-ups in classrooms and public areas.
• Maintains floors by sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing.
• Sets up chairs, tables, and equipment for events and meetings.
• Follows safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals.
