Job summary

Pueblo Community College is seeking a Custodian I to maintain a clean, safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role involves daily cleaning tasks, basic floor care, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualified applicants will have at least 6 months of custodial experience, physical ability for strenuous work, and a customer-service mindset. The position requires flexibility and may include evening or weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of custodial experience as the primary function of the job.
• Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor.
• Must provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and clean environment for students, staff and the public.
• Use custodial chemicals in daily tasks and clean facilities.
• Dust and mop floors, clean restrooms, and empty waste bins.
• Perform duties such as stripping, waxing, or carpet care as needed.
• Assist with snow removal and respond to emergencies as required.
