Job summary

Pueblo Community College is seeking a Custodian I to maintain a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and the public across campus facilities. The role requires physical labor and the ability to work various shifts, with duties including dusting, mopping, cleaning restrooms, and handling custodial chemicals.

Responsibilities include using cleaning methods for spills, assisting with snow removal, and coordinating with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial experience as the primary function of the job.
• Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor.
• Willing to work different shifts (day and/or night), including holidays if necessary.
• Must provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Must possess a current, valid Colorado driver's license to drive campus vehicles.
• Must submit to and successfully complete a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and clean environment for students, staff and the public.
• Use custodial chemicals in daily tasks and clean/restroom areas.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and fixtures.
• Notify supervisor of needed repairs/equipment and assist with snow removal as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
