Job summary

Hutchinson Community College is seeking a Custodian to maintain campus cleanliness, including daily cleaning of interiors, HVAC vents, and light fixtures. The role requires timely attendance, reliability, and compliance with college policies in a campus environment.

Responsibilities include assisting other staff, working flexible hours (days/evenings/weekends), and participating in campus committees as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of buildings includes dusting, cleaning windows, floors, walls, and furniture, restroom fixtures, toilets, sinks, etc.
• Custodians are responsible for maintaining the interior spaces from the ceiling to the floor. This includes but not limited to cleaning light fixtures and replacing light bulbs, cleaning HVAC supply and return vents, and changing HVAC filters depending on their location.
• Assist other employees as needed.
• Willingness to work days, evenings, and/or weekend hours as necessary.
• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully perform the responsibilities of the position.
• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
• Serve actively on campus committees.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director and/or Coordinators of the Facilities department.
