Job summary

Barnard College is seeking a Custodian working Wednesday to Sunday, 7am-3:30pm, with a Monday-Tuesday off. The role covers cleaning duties in academic buildings, residence halls, and grounds, including restrooms, floors, walls, and common areas.

You will coordinate with supervisors and other Facilities Services staff to ensure spaces are prepared for students and events. Responsibilities include setup for residential rooms, snow removal in walkways, and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Move and arrange furniture for events as directed.
• Prepare residential halls for occupancy and clean post-event.
• Shovel snow and apply snow-melt during winter as directed.
• Comply with college safety rules and policies.
