Job summary

The College of Lake County is seeking a Custodian for 2nd shift to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of campus facilities. The role reports to the Facilities Supervisor and involves cleaning interiors and exteriors, restrooms, offices, staff lounges, and common areas, using custodial equipment.

Responsibilities include assisting with room setups, snow removal when needed, and ensuring adherence to institutional policies. A high school diploma is required; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, or equivalent required.
• Ability to push, carry, lift up to 50 lbs regularly; over 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, dusting, and window care.
• Maintain cleanliness of entrances, restrooms, offices, lounges, lunchrooms, corridors, and waste receptacles.
• Assist in snow removal at entrances and walks.
• Assist in room setups, furniture moves, and stage setups.
