Job summary

The University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) seeks a Building Services Supervisor to lead custodial operations across the campus, supervise staff, set schedules, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.

You will oversee daily work orders via CMMS, train crew, evaluate performance, and coordinate with the Group Director of Facilities to meet campus needs, events, and emergencies. This essential role is onsite in Tullahoma, TN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three+ years in custodial/building services with supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment, and safety.
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff.
• Proficiency with computers, email, timekeeping, MS Office, and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial staff across UTSI campus buildings.
• Develop daily/weekly cleaning schedules and adjust for events.
• Manage work orders and service requests via CMMS.
• Train staff, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching.
• Maintain safety, PPE, and proper chemical handling.
• Support special projects and events as needed.
